Carbon black is a fine black powder produced by incomplete combustion of heavy petroleum products. Used extensively in rubber & tire industry (70%), plastics & polymers, paints & coatings, construction materials, electronics & energy storage, and inks & printing. Essential for tire manufacturing (20-35% by weight), UV protection in plastics, pigmentation in paints, and electrode material in lithium-ion batteries.
